In house kitchen, Nelson Bay

Name: In house Kitchen

Location: Nelson Bay

Menu: All day menu (Breakfast)

What we ate: Ricotta hotcake with vanilla marscapone, local peaches and honeycomb.
Eggs Benedict with leg ham, asparagus, burnt butter hollandaise, bacon and a side of potato croquettes.

What we drank - Chocolate milkshake, Cappuccino, Kids milkshake.

Overall verdict - If you are in the area the In house Kitchen is a must. We visited on a Sunday morning around nine and it was busy. As we waited for our breakfast I spent my time flicking through the Sunday paper and having a quick look at the attached homeware store, The Home Interior. After a thirty minute wait (we had been warned) the food arrived. Appealing to the eye and stomach our dishes were colourful, fresh and flavorsome. Mr FPL and I both agreed the burnt butter hollandaise was the best hollandaise sauce we have ever had. My fear that the hotcake wouldn't be enough was quickly squashed as I struggled to try to get through it. Rolling out of the cafe we promised to visit again.
