High tea at The Cortile, The Intercontinental Sydney

Last week it was my birthday so to celebrate my friends and I + babies in tow headed to The Intercontinental for high tea.

Differing from other high teas, on the weekend The Cortile serves high tea buffet style. If tea isn't your thing they have 'high coffee' which I am yet but eager to try.

On arrival we were wowed by the set up. The buffet was colourful and plentiful, it was deserving of the hashtag #foodporn

After ordering our complimentary glass of bubbly we headed to the buffet. Starting with the savouries than moving onto the sweets I ate to my heart or should I say stomachs content!

Trying the majority of the savouries and sweets on display my favorites were, the chicken and pesto sandwiches, salted caramel macaroons, a chocolate slice and the mini New York cheese cakes.

The herbal vanilla tea which I ordered was quite nice too.

Overall it was a great high tea, with plenty of food set in a beautiful open space.
